Last updated: October 19, 2026. This policy covers Stillnest 1.0 for iPhone and this support website.
Stillnest works entirely offline. The app does not collect personal data and has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking SDK or backend service.
App data stays on your device
The app stores these preferences locally on your device:
- Your app language choice.
- The places you mark as favorites.
- Overall volume and sound-layer levels saved separately for each place.
- Your last chosen sleep-timer duration.
- A record of the last poem shown for each place and language, to reduce repetition.
These preferences are not sent to a Stillnest server. Artwork and ambience are bundled with the app; listening does not stream or download sound.
Your choices and stored preferences
Change the language in Settings, tap a heart to add or remove a favorite, or use Reset mix to restore the current place’s levels. Reset mix does not erase all app preferences. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading can retain it. Device backup and restoration follow your iOS settings.
Audio and permissions
Stillnest uses the iOS audio system for background playback and shows the current place and artwork in system media controls. It does not request microphone, location, photo-library or Health access, record audio, or track your sleep.
Email feedback
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send so we can respond. The website does not automatically add device or listening data to your message. Email is handled by your provider and our mailbox provider under their policies.
Contact and updates
This website may remember your language choice in this browser. Clear this site’s stored data to remove that preference.
